Autocracy

Definition

An autocracy is a system of government by one person with absolute power. Autocracy synonyms include: absolutism, totalitarianism, dictatorship, despotism, tyranny, monocracy, autarchy. An enlightened, educated, and active public is the best challenge to an autocracy. Yikes.
