This is me, Jonathan…
…and this is my pup, Roger.
Jonathan Milner founded Social Studies Lab (formerly GoPoPro) in 2012. From 1993 to 2015, Jonathan Milner taught in such varied public school settings as urban classrooms in Houston, Texas, an AP magnet school, the North Carolina Governor's School, and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. In 2002, Milner received the Marcellus Waddill Excellence in Teaching Award and the next year was named the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Teacher of the Year. In his work as a College Board Consultant, National Math and Science Initiative Fellow, AP Exam Reader, and AP Summer Institute Leader, Jonathan inspires students and teachers across the country with his passion for social studies. In 1999 Jonathan founded Global Arts, an international educational exchange program working with students from Bosnia, Israel, and Kenya. In 2012, Global Arts inaugurated an ongoing partnership with Zanmi Beni, a home for disabled orphans in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where American high school students lead week-long arts and crafts camps. Jonathan lives at approximately 970 feet above sea-level in Winston-Salem, NC with his bakery-owning wife Cary, his dogs Honey and Roger, and a flock of seven egg-laying hens and three ducks.
This summer Jonathan will be leading the following week long GoPo workshops:
